Worse than Gifgrabber.

If you’re coming here looking to upgrade from Gifgrabber, don’t. As “sleek” as this interface looks, it’s significantly worse than Gifgrabber. There’s no longer the option to grab gifs in high def quality (which would’ve been great to know before upgrading to this) and the interface is significantly annoying considering it now has extra space it’s taking up for no reason. A complete over-sight in understanding what users want. You can no longer minimize the capture screen and hit the hotkey in order to start capturing, you now have to hit the hotkey twice if it’s minimized (once to bring the screen back up, and again to start recording) which just doesn’t make sense. Compared to the previous incarnation of Gifgrabber, this is multiple steps back in function and performance. On top of that, the speed at which gifs upload to GIPHY is incredibly slow compared to the uploading time to gfycat from gifgrabber.

I wish I could go back. Hard to believe that the creator would choose to remove the ability to create high quality gifs, but they did.
