An app like this is exactly what I need to easily capture gifs. I love simplicity and the features available in the app, but there are some problems I have encountered that make this program unusable for the time being. PROS: -Simple interface: A green transparent screen pops up that is easily adjustable in size and shape. This allows you to easily change to size of the gif to match your needs, or crop the gif from a small portion of the screen. -Menu bar button: the menu bar button in the top right of the screen makes the controls easily accessible, such as the saving options and the ability to adjust quality. CONS: -Lack of functionality on the main screen: the simple interface of the main screen is a little TOO simple. The only options available are a minimize button, a start capture button, and grabbable corner for resizing. It took me a while figuring out how to exit the program when I first opened it because there is no exit button on the main screen. -Doesn’t appear in task manager: If necessary, it is not possible to force quit the application from the task manager menu. -Slowdowns: I typically encounter this problem if I try to create a second gif after opening the program. The application will hang during the processing phase, resulting in a tremendous slow down on my computer. It typically takes about 1 minute to exit the program if this happens. Having only one method to exit the program can make this process more difficult. This program has potential if these issues can be sorted out.
